"My little FIRST BASEMAN"

Nate is really loving baseball this year. He absolutely loves being the first baseman. He said there is nothing like getting a guy out at 1st. lol Last week, we played Summiton and their boys were so much bigger than Nate. It looked like the Varsity playing Pee Wee!!!
We talked to the neurologist about him playing ball and the only condition he had was that he couldn't wear a hat. (because he doesn't sweat!) So we ordered him a visor instead. He knows when he's getting too hot and he runs off of the field for someone to wet him down. I really hate that he has to deal with this at such a young age. But his doctor seems to think that changing his medicine would do more harm than good. So for now He is doing a wonderful job dealing it. He amazes me everytime he steps out on the baseball field. He has come so far since the diagnosis last summer!! Please continue to pray for him!!

Spring Break 2010

Matt took off a couple of days this week and we went to Gatlinburg. We left early Monday morning and came back Wednesday night. It was a short but fun trip and I think the boys had a blast. Here are a few pics:

The boys LOVED the snow!!

It's Baseball Time Again!!!!

Its that time again!!! Since Nate is doing so much better, and after discussing it with Dr. Fequiere we have decided to let him play baseball again. He has been begging to play since they gave out the notes at school. He went back to the doctor a few weeks ago and he is doing great. We still have weekly migraines but we are learning to deal with them.

"Gotta Have His Boots"

Every morning when Nikolas wakes up, the first thing he looks for is his boots. If you will notice, they are a little big. They were Nate's Croc boots and Nikolas found them in his closet and FELL IN LOVE with them, especially since they were his bubby's... He wants to wear them all the time!! With socks, without socks, with pants.................."WITHOUT PANTS"

"Soooooooooooooooo Much Better"

Nate is doing wonderful. He loves first grade and absolutely loves his teacher, Mrs. McCown. He has been sleeping through the night since school started. He has also been sleeping in his bed. We went for the MRI about 3 weeks ago and it was NORMAL. Thank You LORD. He still has the epilepsy but there is no tumor causing it. Which means that it can be treated with medication. He is still taking Topamax, they have increased it to 75 mg daily. One in the am and 2 in the pm. We go back to Dr. Dabbs next week and to Childrens in a couple of weeks to meet with a neurologist and for an over-night EEG to make sure the meds are working like they want them to. He has NOT had any seizures that we know of in weeks. Thank you all for your prayers. They are greatly appreciated. We still need them.
