"My little FIRST BASEMAN"

Nate is really loving baseball this year. He absolutely loves being the first baseman. He said there is nothing like getting a guy out at 1st. lol Last week, we played Summiton and their boys were so much bigger than Nate. It looked like the Varsity playing Pee Wee!!!
We talked to the neurologist about him playing ball and the only condition he had was that he couldn't wear a hat. (because he doesn't sweat!) So we ordered him a visor instead. He knows when he's getting too hot and he runs off of the field for someone to wet him down. I really hate that he has to deal with this at such a young age. But his doctor seems to think that changing his medicine would do more harm than good. So for now He is doing a wonderful job dealing it. He amazes me everytime he steps out on the baseball field. He has come so far since the diagnosis last summer!! Please continue to pray for him!!

Jana, I am curious about the "not sweating". Is that part of his diagnosis or caused by medicine etc.?
Do you remember Curt Howell? He does not sweat. His is caused by his spinal cord injury.

Mrs. Joy, It is caused by the medicine.. They say with epilepsy patients when you find a medicine that controls it... It's really dangerous to change it. So we have opted to deal with it. He tells everyone that his sweating maching don't work, so he has to do it manually. lol
